1. Making the Towing Industry more appealing to mariners in the industry.
2. Sharing information on the current environment of the towing industry as well as its licensing,
regulation and manning issues.
3. Retaining and preserving the traditional practices and skills of the towboat industry and gleaning
knowledge from those captains soon retiring with 30 - 40 years at sea.
4. Making the T.O.A.R training program more appealing to new recruits for the industry.
